PRIVACY-CONFIRM ANALYSIS OF VISITOR BEHAVIOR

Mindlab is continuously working on optimizing their online offerings. To provide the information that is searched for and inquired and for continuous improvement of our website, we analyze the visitor behavior on our homepage. We use our own, widely patented netmind technology for the analysis.

netmind does not collect, process, use or store any IP addresses for the analysis. Thus, the analysis is completely anonymous for the visitor, without personal identification and without connection of personal data from third-party systems (customer databases, CRM, or similar).

You can withdraw from the analysis of your website visit at any time by clicking on this link. To block your tracking, netmind must install a cookie on your computer. Cookies are text files of small file size, which are read by different software and whose stored information can be processed. Please apply the respective browser settings to enable this in the case of withdrawal.

The only personal data stored by Mindlab is data of website visitors, who voluntarily registered for our e-mail newsletter or document downloads, as they are interested in our products and services. Registration for our newsletter follows the double opt-in procedure, which requires a personal confirmation via e-mail. Receipt of our free e-mail newsletter can be canceled unconditionally at any time.

We ensure today and in the future that we will only use the data collected on this website for market research and optimization purposes. The data is stored at a certified partner in German, where best-possible protection against external access is given. No data is transmitted abroad. As IP addresses are neither collected, nor processed, used, or stored by netmind, retroactive personal assignment to individual data records is technically not possible anymore. The sale or transfer to third parties is thus useless. It is furthermore fundamentally excluded by Mindlab and is not supported at any point in time.

FAQ REGARDING PRIVACY

WHY IS MINDLAB A SECURE DECISION?

As German web analysis pioneer and app analysis expert, Mindlab Solution with its netmind technology fully complies with all legal requirements. Mindlab considers both: the user interests – anonymity, personal privacy, and privacy – and the demands of industry and online commerce for information regarding the user behavior.
It is Mindlab's objective to improve websites, apps, mobile applications, and desktop applications. For this purpose, netmind technology uses a proprietary procedure, which omits collecting of any data indicating the identity of the site visitor completely. The subsequent analysis is not based on individual visitors. It evaluates the usability of the individual applications based on the overall user behavior. netmind does not collect, process, or use IP addresses. Retroactively, it is also not possible to assign the data to certain persons. This way, Mindlab can ensure personal privacy protection to the highest degree. Cookie-free tracking is also possible upon request.
The Mindlab product family was designed for in-house operation. Data can be directly stored at our customer´s as in-house solution. No third parties are involved in this provisioning model. Data control ensures additional legal certainty with respect to privacy and compliance. Optionally, Mindlab also offers other secure provisioning types (e.g. ASP).
However, if the visitors do not withdraw from your tracking, the result is not a transparent customer. Customer profiles are created, which enable addressing visitors with customized contents. The customer can actively withdraw from tracking. For this purpose, a cookie can be installed on the visitor's browser via a download function, which blocks tracking.
In their decision in 2009, the supreme supervisory authority for privacy in the non-public sector (Düsseldorf working group) pointed out that the provisions of the German Telemedia Act must be observed by website operators when generating usage profiles. According to this, usage profiles may only be generated if pseudonyms are used. Mindlab complies with all provisions of the Düsseldorf working group.
TÜV SÜD also declared that the use of netmind is safe concerning privacy: During an audit in 2009, it was already confirmed that Mindlab ensures that no personal data is processed, that netmind can be deployed in a privacy-conform manner, and that the employees of Mindlab Solution prioritize an analysis solution confirm with the law during customer-specific installations.
netmind is used in numerous companies working with particularly sensitive data and thus requiring a safe solution regarding privacy, such as banks, insurances, and authoriti

WHICH USER DATA IS COLLECTED ON THIS WEBSITE?

In order to check this website (www.mindlab.de) regarding its target achievement and performance, the contents read by visitors are monitored as well as the visitor flow through the website. This includes path analysis (the user path through the website) and the referrer URL (via which banners, links, references did the user find us). A click map and a heat map are generated (representation of purposeful and uncoordinated mouse clicks) and - if offered - video tracking generated (how much of a video is watched, which locations are skipped?). For the purpose of search engine optimization (SEO), the keywords used during searches for our website are collected and the terms used in the website-internal search function and their frequency saved to purposefully offer information to the visitors. netmind analysis differentiates between accesses from PCs and mobile devices. In the case of a PC, the browser version, browser language, settings, and used window size, as well as the operating system used are collected. In the analysis of used mobile devices, we consider the screen size to better align contents and present them more comfortably to mobile users. Last, but not least, all accesses are collected with date and time. During these analysis functions, no IP addresses are collected, processed, or used. In other words, the individual visitors are completely anonymous and protected as individual.

FOR WHAT PURPOSE DO YOU ANALYZE THE VISITOR BEHAVIOR ON THE MINDLAB HOMEPAGE?

The user behavior on the Mindlab website is collected for the purpose of continuous website improvement. Visitors are provided with searched for and requested information in an attractive manner. Weaknesses in the website usage should be corrected and causes of crashes and errors in the site exposed. Furthermore, the netmind analysis should deliver conclusions regarding search engine optimization (SEO = search engine optimization = measures for better website accessibility via search engines) and regarding optimization of online advertisement and online marketing campaigns. To be more precise, the website functionality is analyzed, and not the individual visitor.

WHY IS NETMIND TECHNOLOGY PRIVACY-CONFORM?

The widely patented netmind technology is a privacy-conform tracking, as no IP addresses are collected, processed, or used. The analysis results of netmind tracking are stored at a certified partner in Germany and best-possible data security is ensured. No data is sent abroad and no data from existing third-party systems is linked with the collected data in this application.

DOES MINDLAB TRACKING COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE DÜSSELDORF WORKING GROUP?

Please refer to the pdf document on file (German) documenting Mindlab's compliance with all provisions of the Düsseldorf working group.

WHO CAN ACCESS THE COLLECTED DATA?

Individual, selected employees at Mindlab Solutions have access to the collected data: company management, Mindlab Marketing, Mindlab Consulting, and the Privacy Representative.

CAN I RETROACTIVELY REACTIVATE TRACKING OF MY WEBSITE VISIT?

We are delighted about visitors helping us in improving our online offerings. If you would like to reverse your withdrawal from tracking, please click on the following link. However, netmind must install a cookie on your browser for successful tracking resumption. Please apply the respective browser settings.

ARE COOKIES USED IN THE ANALYSIS OF THIS WEBSITE?

Yes, the analysis of this website uses cookies. They are used to keep the session ID (visit identification) and the UV ID (UV = unique visitor, identification of the individual visitor through pseudonymization) together and enable a consistent information package about the entire visit history. Furthermore, the visitor's browser settings are transmitted, the customer journey determined, and a click and heat map for content optimization output. To ensure greatest possible privacy, this data is anonymized by netmind as early as possible. Cookies are small text files containing information stored about the website visit. This information can be read out and differently used by different web softwares, e.g. to show product recommendation across platforms. You can disagree with automatic cookie installation using respective settings in your browser.

IS COOKIE-FREE TRACKING POSSIBLE USING NETMIND?

Cookie-free tracking is also possible with netmind upon request. In this case, URL rewriting is used in order to attach the session ID (website visit identification) to the unique visitor ID (definition of the individual visitor through pseudonymization) during the entire visit path through the website.

WILL I RECEIVE UNWANTED MINDLAB ADVERTISEMENT AS A RESULT OF MY VISIT TRACKING?

No, as Mindlab does not store any personal data via netmind Tracking. However, we are delighted about visitors interested in our company and products and who voluntarily register for document downloads or our e-mail newsletter. To register for our e-mail newsletter, click on this link. The e-mail newsletter is published at irregular intervals, however, at least four times a year. It can be canceled unconditionally at any time without any obligations or cancellation periods.
The use of cookies for analysis purposes on the Mindlab website does not have any influence on advertisement shown on third-party portals, as the information on our cookies is anonymized. This anonymized information can only be processed by netmind technology on the original website.
